Hudson is doing great!   He's talking, smiling, laughing and starting to hug you!  I absolutely love this little boy with everything I have.   This coming weekend is the first Great Strides walk and I'm happy to say we are 5 days away and my team has raised 9,223 dollars so far!  I can't express my gratitude for my friends, family and strangers who have gone above and beyond for me to raise money.   I can't wait to post pictures after the walk!   Hudson has started a couple new quirks..  now as he's going to sleep he rubs his hand in his hair.  He loves touching your face and squeezing your nose..  and I mean hard!   We now weigh 14.2 pounds and our clinic visit last week went great!  We are healthy and we even got to start cereal..  Video to come!    I'm happy to report all is going well.  My first mothers day and mine and Michaels first anniversary were spent together on Sunday.  We played, we took naps, no one did cleaning, there were no home improvements projects going on...  it was just us and the baby.  It was perfect.

PaPa is already trying to turn him into a Cowboy.  Sigh.

morning hair.

Going to MiMis while mommy and daddy work.
Thank goodness for the Duck.  I'm pretty sure I'll be in trouble for this one day.

So many things to update everyone on!!   Recently Michael's Family put a benefit together for Hudson.  There were so many people who came out to support our son it was completly overwhelming.  It was a very emotional day for Michael and I.   They raised an insane amount of money and we have set up an account for Hudson's medical bills etc.   I can't express to people how grateful we are of everyone coming out and supporting our son.  This will allow Michael and I the opportunity to concentrate on our family rather than stress about how we are going to pay all of the medical bills.

On Monday the 9th we went in for another 7 days in the hospital.  Hudson had a cough and it turned into pneumonia.   We went in on Monday the 9th and got out on Monday the 16th.  I'm not going to go into detail because the trip was much like the first trip.   This time we actually showed up at the emergency room with almost everything we needed to stay for a week!  Yup, we've got it down people!   We were immediately put on the 14th (pulmonary) floor and started antibiotics.  Unfortunately Hudson is still growing MRSA in his sputum.  We are treating it with an antibiotic once again in hopes we get rid of it.  We are also being treated ourselves in case one of us happens to be carrying it.   We have added in 3 new medications.  Heres a peak at our second trip to hospital...   The time goes by very slow so mommy has lots of time to take pictures!!

Hudson helping the Respitory Tech give his treatment

Hudson being a pain while getting  his CPTs.  You can see the tool in the techs hand that they beat on his chest, back and sides with.  This was a good treatment, no tears!

My baby sleeping by his Daddy

Hudsons morning medications..  some of these he takes 3 and 4 times a day.   He also take 2 capsules of enzymes every time he eats making 8-10 pills added in with this.

I think every Doctor who came in to see Hudson said the same thing...   "This is not normal and life won't always be this way."   We seem to have had a streak of bad luck here in the beginning and once we get through cold and flu season everything should get a little easier for us.   My son is 100 times stronger than I am.  Even with all the poking and things they do to him he still smiles and laughs.

It's very frustrating.  How does my son get sick??  He doesn't get to go to stores, restaurants or anywhere in public??   Michael and I are on constant snot patrol when around family.  We short of bathe in antibacterial soap.   It's so frustrating.   Now Hudson has his hands in his mouth constantly!   It drives me nuts!  How am I supposed to keep him healthy????

So enough about hospitals!

Besides constantly having his hands in his mouth he is now starting to grab on to his toys and play with them!   He is laughing and smiling constantly.  Even being in the hospital he was in such great spirits after being on meds for 2 days.   This Doctors and nurses love him!   I think he may do this to us just to see those nurses!!
